II. Freshman requirements must be taken before sophomore courses:
Sophomores should spread their university core requirements over the two semesters, and try to take at least one or two major courses each semester.
A student who fails a required course is advised to repeat the course the next semester it is offered.
III. PREREQUISITES:
Students may not register for any course for which a prerequisite has not been completed. Prerequisites are marked on the schedule of classes.
IV. CHANGE OF SCHEDULE:
If a student registers for a course and fails its prerequisite at the end of this semester, he/she should change his/her semester schedule during the Drop & Add period.
V. CHOICE OF SECTION:
When there are two or more sections of a course, students may choose the section they prefer. But if some sections grow too large, students may be restricted to certain sections or required to shift from a larger section to a smaller section after the end of registration.
VI. NORMAL LOAD:
The normal load of a full-time student is five courses. Students may not register for more than five courses during the registration period. Students who meet the conditions for taking an overload (cumulative average of at least 75 and semester average of at least 80) may add courses during the change of schedule period, with the approval of their advisor. A load of six courses is not considered an overload if one of the courses is a one credit or two credits course.
VII. ALL SENIORS ARE URGED TO CHECK THEIR GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS WITH MRS. FERMANIAN, AT THE REGISTRAR’S OFFICE, BEFORE THE END OF DROP & ADD PERIOD. THIS IS IN ORDER TO MAKE SURE ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION ARE MET.
