How to Apply?
Application Dates
The final dates for submitting applications for admission and re-admission are:
April 30 for the fall semester.
December 30 for the spring semester.
It is advisable to apply before these dates. Applications received after these dates will be considered on space available basis.
Application Procedures
All applicants must fill out a formal application form for admission, which is provided by the Admissions Office of the University. The application form, along with all required documents, must be submitted to the Admissions Office. Only candidates who have presented their complete records and have fulfilled the requirements set out below are considered by the Admissions Committee. When all necessary documents have been submitted and reviewed, applicants are informed of their admission status.
Records:Applications for admission will be considered and answered only after all of the following items have been submitted by the student:
- A photocopy of his/her identity card or passport;
- Two recent passport-size pictures;
- An official transcript for the last three years of secondary education and a transcript of all previous university work; *
- A recommendation from the principal of the last school attended (on the special form provided with the application); *
- The certificate received upon completion of secondary education (if a photocopy is presented, it must be endorsed by the Ministry of Education that issued the certificate);
- The grades of official examinations endorsed by the Ministry issuing the certificate;
- An application fee (not refundable). Or Renewal of application and re-admission fee (not refundable).
Accepted or rejected applicants may not reclaim any of the submitted documents.
Requirements:
Applications for admission will be considered and answered only after the following requirements have been satisfied.
Entrance Examinations
- English Examinations: All candidates must demonstrate proficiency in English by obtaining a score of 525 or more on one of the following:
* The international or institutional TOEFL
* The critical reading part of SAT I.
Students wishing to send their test results to Haigazian University Admissions Office, should use the following code number during registration:4278 for TOEFL and 0106 for SAT I & SAT II..
Students in the following categories are exempt from this requirement:
- Students who are admitted on the basis of G.C.E. examinations, including the English language examination
- Special students who plan to study only courses which are not taught in English.
- Re-examination: Candidates who wish to repeat the English examination may do so; however, there has to be an interval of 30 days between the two sittings for the TOEFL.
- Placement Test: New students with a TOEFL score of 550 or less must take English 101 - 102. Those with a score of 550 and above must sit for the English Placement Examination given by the English department at Haigazian University. The Placement Test is valid for one year only.
