Admission to the Sophomore Class
Students admitted directly to the sophomore class will be granted 20-30 credits based on their performance on the English Placement Exam which is administered by the university. If a student is granted less than 30 credits, he/she will be required to take English 101/102 if the TOEFL score is less than 550, or English 101/102 or English 102; this depends on the student's performance on the English Placement Exam.
Holders of the following official certificates are eligible to apply for admission to the sophomore class:
- The Lebanese Baccalaureate
- The Lebanese Technical Baccalaureate
- The French Baccalaureate
- The London G.C.E./The Oxford-Cambridge Higher School Certificate Holders of The London G.C.E./The Oxford-Cambridge Higher School Certificate should have passed in at least five subjects at ordinary level, and at least two subjects at advanced level.
