Maître Nadim Abboud (Licence en Droit, St. Joseph University; L.L.M., Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.; M.B.A., Ecole Supérieure des Affaires, Pôle associé ESCP-EAP, Beirut) is a counselor and attorney at law. He is the managing partner of the law offices of A. Abboud & Associates. He has lectured on Labor and Social Security Laws and Tourism Law at St. Joseph University.
Ms. Joyce Assaf (Licence d’enseignement, University of Balamand; DESS Information et Communication, Saint Joseph University) is currently Head of Personnel Administration at Banque Audi, where she has worked since 2001. She has also held the positions Head of Training and Management Unit, Senior Training Officer, and assistant to the regional management in Tripoli.
Mrs. Dima Baltagi (B.S., American University of Beirut, M.B.A., Lebanese American University; Certified Professional in Health and Hospital Administration [CPHHA], American Institute for Healthcare Quality, U.S.A.) is a healthcare management consultant and trainer. She has over 15 years of experience in corporate communication, organizational brand management and professional management and leadership training. She established the first Marketing department within a hospital in Lebanon in 2000 – “Building up a Customer Oriented Organization” and developed a logo in 2002 that became in 2009 a Lebanese national stamp. She was hired in 2007 as a Change Management Expert by
08-2010 Mrs. Baltagi trained more than 1125 participants in management, leadership, team building, change management and communication at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, Saudi Arabia. She also established the Patient Relations Department in a tertiary referral hospital specialized in Oncology, Transplant, Neurosciences, and Genetics to better serve Eastern Province patients in Saudi Arabia. Back in Lebanon in 2012, she established her own consultancy and training firm, LEAD Consult, to help develop the leaders of the next generation.
Qualeb (a €15 million EU funded project aimed at Strengthening Quality Management, Capabilities and Infrastructure in Lebanon) to train around 50 Lebanese organizations on change management and strategic management and to help them go through the change of becoming ISO 9001/22000 certified.
Mrs. Baltagi has been a trainer in the Adult Education Program at Haigazian University since 2004.
Mr. Georges Bejjani (Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration – Option: Management Information System, Saint Joseph University, Beirut; Master Degree in Human Resources Management, Saint Joseph University, Beirut) is the “HR Manager” at Transmed, a leading company fully dedicated to the sales and distribution of high quality fast moving consumer goods (FMCG). Mr. Bejjani started his career at Bank of Beirut as HR Analyst responsible for training, performance evaluation, and HR Database. He then moved to work at M1 Group (formerly known as Investcom) where he was “Learning & Development Manager” for seven years.
Mireille Bogharian Seropian (B.A. in Business Administration, Haigazian University; M.B.A., Lebanese American University) has been head of accounting for a number of well known companies . She also teaches accounting and other business courses at two universities and training institutes.
Mr. Mike Chamieh (B.B.A., Notre Dame University; M.B.A., Lebanese American University) is Head of Training Activities Unit at Bank Audi. His previous positions included taking charge of the Training & Development unit at one of the alpha group banks, instructing Economics, Quality Coordinator at a hospital, and Research Executive at an embassy. He is a certified trainer and has delivered many training sessions.
Mr. Khodr Eid (Master of Electronic Commerce, Dalhousie University, Canada; PMP certification in progress) is currently a Country Project Manager for a major project in the Central African Republic. He has over 10 years of professional experience shared among project management, Internet advertising and marketing, Web and e-commerce positions, hotel management, and teaching.
Mr. Shant Estepan (M.B.A. expected in 2014, B.S. in Computer Science, Haigazian University; Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist [MCTS]; CISCO) is Senior Network Analyst at Haigazian University. He teaches ‘Networking Essentials’ and “Digital Electronics” to HU computer science students.
Ms. Maria Frangieh (License en Economie, St. Joseph University, Beirut; Masters in Economics, American University of Beirut; Doctorate in Business Administration candidate, Grenoble Ecole de Management, France) is a trainer, instructional designer, and consultant in strategies and implementation of Web 2.0 tools in Human Resources and Digital Media Marketing. She has held managerial positions in HR and worked as a consultant in the Statistics Division of ESCWA. Ms. Frangieh was General Coordinator of the Lebanese Economic Association for a year and has been a tutor and trainer at several Lebanese universities.
Mr. Salim J. Ghalayini (B.Elec.Eng., University of Wisconsin; Graduate Studies, University of Wisconsin & American University of Beirut; Executive Development, IBM Management School, Belgium) is a productivity consultant who worked with IBM for over thirty years in more than fifteen countries. His experience and main areas of interest cover business productivity, investment consulting, and human resource management. He has conducted over 80 workshops and seminars in various EMEA countries, written over sixty articles, and has published two books, one on financial investment and the other on human resources.
Mr. Alexan Hagopian (B.A. & M.B.A., Haigazian University; Certified Documentary Credit Specialist, Institute of Financial Services, London) is a Trade Finance Officer at one of the Lebanese banks. He previously worked at other banks and as an accountant in a trading company. He also teaches part-time at Haigazian
Ms. Randa Karimé (B.S. in Business Computer, EMBA in Business Administration from the Lebanese American University; PHR certification, SHRM Institute, USA) is Human Resources Manager at Lebanon & Gulf Bank. She has worked in banking since 1999 and has held a number of positions at various banks: HR Manager, Senior Specialist/Training and Career Development – Human Resources, Senior Trainer in HR Department, and Commercial Retail Officer.
Mr. Toufic Kortbawi (Industrial Engineer, Northeastern University, Boston) has extensive
experience in Logistics and Operations Management, Project Management, Information
Systems, Process Design and Re-Engineering, Product Development and Integration,
Division and Business Unit Management, and Sales and Customer Service.
His experience has spanned many countries, including the USA, UAE, Kuwait and Lebanon.
During his employment with a major international logistics firm he held many positions,
including Head of Warehousing, Director of Operations, Regional Director of Retail and
Director of Strategic Planning and Development.
During his 20+ years’ experience in the field of Supply Chain and Logistics, Mr. Kortbawi has
run many seminars and training sessions: for the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, he
presented a seminar called “E-fulfillment: the Logistics of e-commerce”; in Lebanon he
conducted a full day seminar on Warehousing called “Warehousing for the Millennium”.
Ms. Rosy Kuftedjian, who studied at the Toros Roslin School of Art, is an accomplished artist. She worked for eight years at the Howard Karagheusian Commemorative Corporation, where teaching children art and drawing was part of her responsibilities. She currently teaches drawing to adults.
Ms. Cecilia Moudaber (Senior Professional in Human Resources [SPHR], U.S.A.; B.S. in Business Management, Beirut University College; Mastère de Gestion des Entreprises, Université du Quebec a Chicoutimi in partnership with CED-ISEC, Beirut) is currently a consultant and trainer of business professionals and a part-time instructor at Haigazian University. Her other work experience includes consultancy assignments for national SMEs, business plans and feasibility studies, and managing the HR department of a hospital (CHN).
Mr. Bassam Nammour (B.B.A., Notre Dame University; Post Graduate Diploma in Organizational Behavior, University of London; EMBA in Business Administration, Lebanese American University (current); various certifications including SHRM Learning System, Society for Human Resources Management, USA and ROI Skill Building, ROI Institute & ASTD, Chicago) is currently Training and Development Manager at Credit Libanais Bank and Managing Director of Think HR!, a Human Resources consultancy company. He is also a local and regional trainer and speaker for many institutions and corporations. He was previously the Talent Development Manager at Byblos Bank.
Ms. Julie Harfouche Nammour (Bachelor of Business and Management – Option Advertising & Marketing, Masters in Human Resources Management [DESS], Saint Joseph University, Beirut) has worked at Bank of Beirut since 2003. She is currently Head of the Recruitment and Selection Unit in the Human Resources Department at Bank of Beirut.
Mr. Hani Ramadan (B.A. in Hospitality Management, Lebanese University; Executive M.B.A. [in progress], Lebanese American University, Beirut) has more than 13 years of operations and training experience. Known as a passionate and dynamic facilitator, he has trained and consulted many senior managers in different countries including Lebanon, Cyprus, Jordan, Bahrain, KSA, UAE and Iraq. He is currently the regional training manager and executive coach of a leading international services company in the Middle East. He also teaches management courses in different Lebanese universities.
Mr. Ramadan has an Advanced Certification from the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning in UK and is a Fellow member (1st accredited person in the Middle East). Moreover, he is a Certified Manager by the Institute of Certified Professional Managers and an Associate Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation in USA.
Ms. Sonya Sabbah (L.L.B. Law degree, University of London; Diploma in Journalism and News Writing, London School of Journalism; Certified Executive Coach, USA; Certified Image and Personal Branding Coach, USA; Certified Process Director [IPAP]) is the founder of ‘Excellence First Executive Coaching & Training’ firm. She is a regular resident expert on many local and regional television and radio shows, as well as being a columnist in many lifestyle magazines, tackling the subjects of Civility, Personal Image, Personal Branding, Etiquette and Protocol. She trains on all types of soft skills and coaches on Leadership Communication, Strategic Thinking, and Personal Image. From 1993 till 2008 Ms. Sabbah worked in a variety of professions, namely in public relations and marketing, as a Legal Officer with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, as a journalist (current affairs and business), and as a Trade Mark Agent in London. Ms Sabbah published her first book Etiquette in the City: Beirut in November 2011 and is hoping to publish her second one soon. She received the AICI Civility Star Award and the Certificate of Distinguished Services as Member of the AICI Ambassadors Committee award for distinguished service and dedication.
Ms. Jennifer Tabet (B.A., George Washington University; M.A. Georgetown University; Master of Industrial and Labor Relations, Cornell University) has established her own Human Resources consulting company based in Lebanon and the UAE. Prior to this, she worked at Merck & Co (a leading US pharmaceutical company) first as a Business Partner at Merck?s headquarters in New Jersey (US) and later as the Regional HR Manager in their Middle East Subsidiary. Ms. Tabet is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Level A & B Psychometrics.
Mr. Hossam Al-Wazzan (B.Sc. in Management of Information Systems, Global University, Beirut) is a Project Management Consultant with wide knowledge in project management. He has 5 years of experience in Lebanon and the Gulf region in developing methodologies for Portfolio, Project, and Risk Management; in developing PMO and understanding the best practices to be used in Project Management; and in mastering project planning using Oracle Primavera P6. Mr. Al-Wazzan conducts training sessions in the field of Project Management. He also works as a freelance Project Planner for many contractors in Lebanon using Oracle Primavera P6.
Mr. Al-Wazzan is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute (PMI); he is also a Certified International Project Manager from the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM).
