Instructors

Mr. Mohammed El Amine (B.A. in English, Lebanese University; Master's degree in progress) is currently an English teacher at Rawda High School; he also teaches English at other schools and at the Lebanese International University. Mr. El Amine is a certified trainer. For some years he has been extensively involved in training for the teaching of English and for conflict resolution.

Mrs. Farha Al Bitar (B.A. & T.D., Lebanese University; M.A. candidate in Arabic as a Second Language, Kaslik University) is currently Arabic Coordinator for the Armenian Evangelical schools in Lebanon as well as Elementary Arabic Coordinator and teacher of Arabic and Special Arabic at Broummana High School. Mrs. Al Bitar is author of many well known Arabic books: "سلسلة العربية السهلة"  for the IP program,خطّي أفضل"   "سلسلة for Elementary classes,"سلسلة لغتي أفضل"  for Preschool classes, and some Arabic stories.

Dr. Ghenwa Assi  (B.A., T.D, & M.A. in Education, Lebanese American University; Ph.D. in Educational Psychology/Special Education, Pebble Hills University, USA) has broad experience in the field of Special Education and in teaching. She is owner of ‘Challenge Center', an NGO that works with students having additional needs, and director of its Special Education therapies program. She also teaches at three universities and works on a one-on-one basis with students with additional needs. In the past she held a variety of positions with NGOs including Educational Consultant and Trainer, Head of Special Education Department, Educational Counselor and Trainer.

Ms. Hanadi Dayyeh (B.A., M.A., Ph.D. candidate in Arabic Language and Literature, American University of Beirut) is an Arabic language and curriculum specialist. Currently, she is the Arabic language consultant to the Lebanese Group for Education. She has taught Arabic to native and non-native speakers for the past 14 years and has trained hundreds of Arabic language teachers.

Ms. Dayyeh has coordinated, led and audited the Arabic programs in several international and American schools in the Middle East. She recently chaired the NESA Arabic Advisory group, and she was also a member of the AERO+ team that worked on developing standards and benchmarks for World Languages.

Ms. Dayyeh developed an Arabic program for pre-school based on Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences Theory. She has several publications and has written children’s stories.

Ms. Malak Ezzeddine (B.A. in Early Childhood Education & M.A. in Educational Management, Lebanese American University) is Kindergarten Coordinator at Adduha High School. Her responsibilities include curriculum planning and implementation as well as supervision of KG teachers and communication with parents. She previously worked as a coordinator and teacher for KG and Nursery classes in other schools.

Mrs. Rania El Hage (B.A. & T.D., Lebanese American University) is currently a consultant in the field of education. From 1996 till 2009 she held a number of positions with the Beirut Orthodox Schools including: head of a school team that carried out action research for a project developed by the AUB education dept, Associate Principal of a school, Director of the Preschool Divisions and Daycare Centers, Director of Training and Development, Director of Special Education, head of different divisions at a school, teacher of grades 2 and 3. Prior to joining the Beirut Orthodox Schools, Mrs. El Hage taught at two other schools. She has written and published stories and activity books for children in English and Arabic.

Mrs. Shaghig Hudaverdian (B.A., Haigazian University; M.A., American University of Beirut) was school counselor at Yeghishe Manoukian College for ten years.  She is currently an instructor at Haigazian University and a teacher trainer at different institutes.

Ms. Shaza Ismail (M.A., University of Washington; M.A., American University of Beirut) has wide experience in the field of Special Education.  She is currently a consultant with the schools of the Al-Mabarrat Association.

Mrs. Ghinwa Itani Malas (B.B.A. 1993, Diploma in Educational Management and Leadership, 2000,  M.A. in Educational Administration and Policy Studies, 2009, American University of Beirut) is the Director of Curriculum and Professional Development at Wellspring Learning Community in Beirut. She has also been the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP) coordinator and a member of the Educational Leadership Team at the school since it opened in 2007. During her M.A. studies, she focused her research on Professional Learning Communities and wrote her thesis about Developing Learning Communities: Teachers’ Perspective. Prior to joining Wellspring, Mrs. Malas held the position of elementary school Learning Support Coordinator at Harriri III School in Beirut for 5 years. She has facilitated many workshops for teachers and many information sessions for parents.

Ms. Ghina Mounla (B.A. in Elementary Education & M.A. in Education, Lebanese American University) is currently an elementary teacher at the American Community School in Beirut, where she has worked since 2007. She previously taught kindergarten at another school and has also worked with the Lebanese Association for Educational Studies.

Dr. Juhaina Musharrafieh (B.S. in mathematics, T.D. in secondary education, M.A. in mathematics education, American University of Beirut; Doctorate in Education, Saint Joseph University, Beirut) has broad experience as a school administrator. Her Doctoral dissertation was on education for democracy in relation to students' personality. She is currently principal of Arts and Culture School, Aley, was previously principal of another school, and has helped establish five other schools. Dr. Musharrafieh has also coordinated math programs, helped develop a math curriculum, and taught mathematics at the intermediate and secondary levels. She has a number of papers, studies, and publications.

Mr. Sultan Nassereddein (Ph.D. candidate, Lebanese University) is a specialist in the Arabic language, its literature, and the ways of teaching them.  He is a member of the Evaluation Committee at the National Center for Educational Research and Development, an expert in teacher training, and general coordinator for the Arabic language at Rawda High School. He has several publications, such as: نصوص مسموعة (10أجزاء), علّميني يا حياة, رسائل دافئة, شباب دائم, دبابيس, مَشاهد ملوّنة, فنّ الإصغاء

Ms. Lina Osseiran (B.A. &  T.D., American University of Beirut; M.A. in Educational Administration & Supervision, Haigazian University) is coauthor of the book Grammar in Context. She taught for eighteen years in a private school in Beirut, was a school director in Qatar, and is currently a school director in Lebanon and a part-time instructor at Haigazian University.

Ms. Hala Raad (B.A. in Education/Special Education, St. Joseph University, Beirut; M.Ed. in Special Educational Needs, University of Leeds, England) is an experienced professional with over ten years of experience in special education and in community development in the Middle East. At present she works as a special education teacher in a private practice with children with intellectual disabilities, autism, or learning difficulties. She is also a lecturer at the Department of Special Education/Institut Libanais d’Educateurs (ILE) at St. Joseph University.

Previously Ms. Raad was the Director of the National Inclusion Programme in Lebanon. She has also worked in different organisations such as the AUBMC, the UNESCO regional office, the Syria Disability Programme of the Karim Rida Said Foundation, the Lebanese Association for Special Education,  Al Younbouh, SESOBEL, etc. She has also been a consultant and trainer for many local and international NGOs (National Inclusion Project, Welfare Association, Arab Resource Collective, Lebanese Autism Society, Lebanese Down Syndrome Association etc.) in the fields of education, early childhood and disability in Lebanon and other Arab countries

Ms. Hala Tayyarah (B.S. in mathematics & T.D. for the secondary level, American University of Beirut; Masters of Education Program for the International Schools, Framingham State College, USA) is an experienced teacher of mathematics in both the Lebanese and American systems of education. She has also done research on the use of technology in the classroom and has mentored other teachers on different technology applications. Ms. Tayyarah currently teaches at St. Mary’s Orthodox College.


السيدة فرحة البيطار (حائزة على إجازة تعليمية في اللغة العربية وآدابها من الجامعة اللبنانية، مسجلة لرسالة الماجستير في جامعة الروح القدس الكسليك).هي حالياً منسقة اللغة العربية في المدارس الأرمنية الإنجيلية في لبنان، كما انها منسقة اللغة العربية للمرحلة الإبتدائية و مدرسة في مدرسة برمانا العالية في النظامين اللبناني و الخاص. هي كاتبة للعديد من الكتب العربية " سلسلة العربية السهلة "   في النظام الأجنبي و"سلسلة خطي أفضل " للصفوف الابتدائية  و "سلسة لغتي أفضل " لمرحلة الروضات . وبعض القصص المعروفة .

 المدربة هنادي دّية  (ماجستير في اللغة العربية و آدابها من الجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت) استشارية لبرامج تعليم اللغة العربية. نسّقت مناهج اللغة العربية في مدارس أميركية ودولية في لبنان و الشرق الأوسط. كما وتدير حلقات تدريب لأساتذة اللغة العربية في المؤتمرات العالمية والمدارس. درّست اللغة العربية كلغة أولى ولغة أجنبية لمدة
عام 14 .

رأست السيدة ديّة لجنة الاستشارات العربية في مجلس المدارس الأميركية في الشرق الأدنى وجنوب آسيا (NESA). كما وشاركت في وضع معايير اللغات العالمية ضمن مشروع (AERO+).
أعدت برنامج تعليم اللغة العربية لمرحلة رياض الأطفال استنادا إلى نظرية الذكاءات المتعددة لـ "هوارد جاردنر". ولها مؤلّفات عدة منها قصص للأطفال.
هي حاليا عضو مجلس إدارة ومستشارة للغة العربية في المجموعة اللبنانية للتربية والعلوم.

السيد سلطان ناصرالدّين (متخصّص في التّربية واللّغة العربيّة وآدابها والطّرائق النّشطة  لتدريسها, عضو لجنة التّقييم في المركز التّربويّ للبحوث والإنماء, خبير تدريب معلّمين, المنسّق العامّ للّغة العربيّة في ثـانويّة الرّوضة- بيروت, كاتب, ومن مؤلَّفاتِه: نصوص مسموعة (10أجزاء), علّميني يا حياة, رسائل دافئة, شباب دائم, دبابيس, مَشاهد ملوّنة, فنّ الإصغاء
