On Wednesday the 9th of September, Haigazian University welcomed its incoming undergraduate students for the academic year 2015 – 2016, over a thorough three-day orientation program, especially designed to introduce and facilitate their transition into all aspects of university life.
Considered as an important “stepping stone” by the Orientation Program Director, Dr. Berge Traboulsi, the program included crashed sessions on academic, research, University culture, information technology, spiritual life, time management, conflict resolution, and self-awareness, all meticulously prepared and monitored by a qualified and dedicated team of faculty and student volunteers.
As an alumnus himself, University President, Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian, shared some of his experiences as a student, encouraging them to be constant inquirers. He then focused on the University’s 60 years of heritage, taking pride on the value of “merit”.
Students had also the chance to listen to the University deans and senior administrators, who advised them to live their university life to the fullest, through active participation, creative thinking and criticism, tolerance, communication, and networking.
