The 2017 Harvest of the Center for Continuing Education (CCE) at Haigazian University

 

 
On Saturday the 30th of September, 2017, the Center of Continuing Education (CCE) at Haigazian University celebrated the harvest of seventy four graduates who successfully completed the fields of Special Education and School Coordinators and Division Heads in the Teacher Training program, in addition to the fields of Human Resources, and Project Management provided in the Adult Education program. Minister of Tourism Avedis Guidanian was the guest speaker of this special occasion.
The ceremony started with a processional march of the proud graduates, followed by the national anthem, after which the capacity audience listened to the welcoming word of the CCE Director Sebouh Gurunlian.
“Everything is changing so fast, and we cannot deny that with technology and information age, so much is changing in so little time,” said Gurunlian, highlighting on the unique characteristics of the Center in promoting on-going learning, through providing students with accessible opportunities to update themselves, gain new knowledge, develop personally and enhance their careers.
In his congratulatory remarks, guest speaker, Minister Avedis Guidanian expressed his admiration and appreciation for Haigazian University in playing a major role in the education field of the country and the region by fulfilling its mission through its various departments and the Center for Continuing Education. Guidanian also emphasized on the uniqueness of the Lebanese individual describing him as a trained and prepared individual adaptable to various changes and always eager to learn and develop.
With a sense of accomplishment and gratitude, Human Resources Diploma Graduate Mona Ramadan invited all her fellow graduates to always hold on continuous and ongoing learning. “Life always teaches us a new lesson every day, but we should be prepared for that too through our hard work and train our brains for any sudden new updates”, Ramadan concluded.
In his message, University President, Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian considered that education “has to continue, so that life continues to be a story of development”. In this respect he defined “certificates” as “proof of good development”, along with the skills, knowledge, updated information and new technologies acquired with it. Haidostian concluded by reiterating the fact that “Haigazian University’s mission is to remind people, that what makes documents, symbols, and certificates really worth the trust is the person who holds it… the spirit of the one who holds it, the inner certificate, the ethics, the behavior, the value system.
The program ended with conferring the degrees and a decent reception.
