Beirut, 01/06/2010- On Monday the 31st of May, 2010, Haigazian University - Lifelong Learning Director, Mrs. Ailsa Mclardy, and Said Foundation Syria Programme Manager, Mrs. Layla Rahmeh, signed an agreement, paving the way to establishing mutually beneficial relations of cooperation between the two parties.
The Said Foundation, a charitable organization registered in England and Wales provides programs designed to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in Syria, Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan.
The main aim of the newly agreed program is to promote the inclusion of children with disabilities into mainstream schools all over Syria. Under the two-year agreement, the Lifelong Learning will provide training in Damascus, Syria, to a group of 30 teachers selected by the Syrian Ministry of Education.
