The event was divided into two main parts. For the first hour, Chief Operating Officer at RFXT,GebranMassabni, presented the audience with an introduction to financial markets, including the foreign exchange market (forex).
Massabni began his lecture by providing a brief overview of today’s global market and some of the current financial issues in different parts of the world. He then proceeded to discuss financial markets and the most common financial products, namely bonds, stocks and forex.
Turning his focus to forex in particular, Massabni delineated the role of RFXT as an intermediary between traders and markets, as well as various services that they provide.
Massabni concluded with general advice for anyone entering the market, including a need to analyze the market and to ward against the greed factor and other aspects of financial risk.
After an engaging round of Q&A, the second part of the program commenced. Using the RFXT platform, the audience was given a live demonstration on how to create an account and begin trading in the market. Once the students had been familiarized with the procedure, all the juniors and seniors were invited to take part in a small competition that would run over the following two weeks, giving the students the possibility of testing the real market with demo accounts. At the end of the competition, three winners would be chosen and rewarded with real funded accounts along with an internship at RFXT to gain more experience.
