On Friday, November 30, 2012, the art exhibition of Lucy Poshoghlian a.k.a. Ardziv, entitled "Dream of a Soul," opened at the Haigazian University Art Center, the Matossian Gallery.
The exhibition, which was under the high patronage of M.P. Michel Pharaon, opened with the welcoming remarks of University President, Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian.
In his address, M.P. Pharaon praised the role Haigazian University is playing in promoting art and culture, in addition to the high level of quality education. He appreciated the works of the artist and her enthusiasm especially that this exhibition was originally to open a month ago, unfortunately coinciding with the fatal bomb explosion in Ashrafieh, Beirut.
The exhibition features 50 works of art of various sizes and media. Ardziv’s art, which has received international acclaim by art critics and the public alike, is achieved through a unique style of expression, special technique and mix of colors.
Ardzivhas participated in numerous collective exhibitions, as well as solos, in the United States, France and Lebanon.Her works were highly acclaimed by world art critics; she was the recipient of many prizes, including the prize of "Best Foreign Young Artist" for her oil painting A Road to Heaven in Los Angeles in 2004, and the prize of "Best Color and Best Idea" for her oil painting Puzzle at Gallery Mona Lisa in France in 2008.
Dream of Soul" is in course until December 11, 2012.
