OBJECTIVES

 

The Adult Education Program offers non-credit classes. It's objectives are to:

1.      Make continuing education accessible to adults.

2.      Help adults acquire usable knowledge and skills in areas of interest to them. 

3.     Help individuals develop personally and as members of society, to enrich their lives while deepening their civic sense and awareness of both social and environmental issues.

  

POLICY STATEMENT

 

The classes in the Adult Education Program are open to all who fulfill the stated requirements.  A person cannot be excluded on the basis of religion, sex, race, color, or ethnicity.

The Adult Education Program and a recruitment and consulting company offer a job placement service.  Current participants in AEP Business training sessions and graduates of the Adult Education Program are eligible.

THE BUSINESS TRAINING CENTER

 

 ON-SITE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

 

The Business Training Center provides on-site professional training for companies and other organizations. Your organization can choose from a list of ready-to-go workshops, or we can provide training tailored to your specific needs. This professional training can be given in the workplace or at Haigazian University.

 BUSINESS TRAINING AT HAIGAZIAN UNIVERSITY

The Business Training Center offers non-credit training sessions and programs that are oriented to the needs of people who are in business or would like to have a better understanding of the business world.  Participants learn useful knowledge and skills in a small group atmosphere.  The instructors are themselves professional business people.

Each training program focuses on a particular area: Project Management, Sales, Human Resources Management, Professionalism, Management, Basic Accounting, Accounting for Non-accountants, and Finance.  Additional individual business training sessions are also offered.  (HU is under no obligation to offer the listed training sessions at all times.) 

N.B. These training sessions and programs are separate from the regular bachelor's and master's degree programs of Haigazian University.

 

All business training sessions are open to people 20 years of age or older.  Classes are given in English; classes meet in the evening, usually once a week for two hours.  Training sessions are usually completed in 5 weeks.

 

Participants can choose to take:

·          individual training sessions. 

·          entire business training programs.

 

Certificates are granted for individual training sessions.
Diplomas are granted for complete business training programs.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION TO BUSINESS TRAINING SESSIONS 

        ·         Age requirement: 20 years of age or older

Language requirement:
The applicant must be able to understand, speak, read, and write English well enough to fully participate in the training sessions he/she requests.   The level of an applicant's English will be assessed in a personal interview when necessary.

THE BUSINESS TRAINING CENTER: CERTIFICATES AND DIPLOMAS
  

Certificate of Performance

A Certificate of Performance is granted for a single training session.  To obtain a Certificate of Performance, the participant must fulfill all the requirements of that training session.
