Haigazian University Glows under the Christmas Spell

As we enter December, Haigazian University glows with the spell of the festive season sweeping through every corner of the campus; courtyards, gardens, classrooms and offices shine resplendent with Christmas villages and sparkling trees, lights, and decorations, thus instilling the real festive feel in students, faculty and staff. All this is due to the unwavering and heartfelt work of the University’s facilities team, as well as the talent and goodwill of Student Life.
Celebrations kicked off with the Christmas Tree-Lighting ceremony, an annual event jointly hosted by University President, Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian and the Women’s Auxiliary. In his short prayer of blessing, Haidostian shared a message of hope, love and peace, saying, “we pray that the joy of Christmas may accompany our youth, in situations weakness and need, in each of our homes, in Beirut, and elsewhere; and throughout our university in the local and global neighborhood.”

The most awaited solemn and uplifting chapel service of the year, under the leadership of Campus Minister, Rev. Wilbert Van Saan, conveyed the genuine message of Christmas. The service featured Christmas caroling, led by the Music Club and the Spiritual Life Band, a Christmas play by members of the Actors Club, in addition to a talk delivered by Brother Emile from Taize-France.

Cheer and celebrations continue for a week, just before the holidays and semester break, with student parties, receptions, and dinners.
