Haigazian University Inaugurates its Newly Established “Cook’s Lab”

On Saturday, June 8th, 2019, Haigazian University inaugurated its newly established “Cook’s Lab”, located at the rooftop of the Philibosian Student Center, in the presence of donors Carl and Carla Sabounjian, the University’s Board members from the USA and Lebanon, in addition to faculty and staff members.

The Cook’s Lab was fully designed and equipped by the generous donation of VRESSO, the leading company in Lebanon and the region for full line Food Service and Laundry Equipment, since 1942.

The Cook’s Lab will serve as “an implementation lab” for the Hospitality Management major, in the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics, as mentioned by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Fadi Asrawi.

The twofold objective of the Cook’s Lab will have an educational and commercial purpose. “Educationally, it will secure proper application of students’ theoretical knowledge in the hospitality industry, and from a commercial dimension, it will provide practical applications of various cuisines and contemporary cooking and food presentation techniques to non-Haigazian students, as part of the University’s Center of Continuing Education”, said the coordinator of the Hospitality Management program, Mr. Joseph Al Moudabber.

On this special occasion, University President, Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian thanked the Sabounjian family for their continuous belief and support of Haigazian’s mission. In his turn, Mr. Carl Sabounjian, expressed his gratitude for the respect and trust Haigazian has in their family business.
