Upon the initiative of Haigazian University students, soon after the earthquake in Syria and Turkey on February 6, students began a drive to collect canned food, clothing, blankets, first aid kits and more, to be sent to assist those victims in Syria.
Several truckloads of the material collected from hundreds of donors through the volunteer efforts of more than 30 students, was picked up by the Lebanese Red Cross today. This much needed help will reach its destination in Syria through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
