As part of the Food Waste Prevention Awareness project, organized by the Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade, and under the close supervision and training of Dr. Sima Hamadeh, Associate Professor of Public Health Nutrition and Program Coordinator of Nutrition & Dietetics Sciences at Haigazian University, two students participated in the “Interuniversity Food waste awareness competition” for 2 categories: Billboard Poster and Short video.
Nutrition Sciences and Dietetics major students, Hawraa Al Rachiini and Celesta Koukejian were shortlisted as a semi-finalist group, among 11 groups from different Lebanese universities participating in this context.
The Award Ceremony took place at the Dome, MEA building, on Friday the 15th of September, with the presence of the Director General of the Ministry, Dr. Mohamad Haidar, jury members and University representatives.
