A Series of Academic Events in Yerevan-Armenia

Over a period of one week, expanding from February 15 to 22, 2024, Haigazian University President, Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian and the Armenian Diaspora Research Center of the University, Dr. Antranig Dakessian took part in various academic events during their visit to Yerevan, Armenia.

The rich academic week included the launch of the two books of the 43rd volume of the Haigazian Armenological Review (HAR 2023) on February 16, at the conference hall of the Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute, having as speakers of the event, the newly elected Director of the Institute, Dr. Edita Gzoyan; HAR editor-in-chief, Dr. Antranig Dakessian; Deputy Director of Madenataran, Dr. Vahe Torossian; and President Haidostian.

On February 20, Dr. Antranig Dakessian, presented a lecture on the Haigazian University Press, in addition to the history of the “Haigazian Armenological Review” and its role in the context of the Lebanese Armenian press, at the Fundamental Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences in Armenia

For his part, President Haidostian lectured the Yerevan State University (YSU), on the centennials of the Near Eastern Diaspora institutions, and at the Oriental Institute of the Academy of Sciences on the tragic Gaza war and its religious considerations.

During their stay, partnership visits took place to the American University of Armenia (AUA), the Yerevan State University, the Madenataran, the History Museum of Armenia, and the State Pedagogical University.
