Haigazian University Annual Staff Retreat

Haigazian University’s annual staff retreat took place on September 13, 2025, in the charming town of Anjar in the Bekaa region, graciously hosted by the Armenian Evangelical Church and School of Anjar.

This enriching experience, where some staff were joined by their family members, beautifully combined spiritual reflection, professional development, and the rejuvenating power of being close to nature.

The day began with a peaceful meditation and time of reflection led by Pastor Assadour Mntcherian.

President Haidostian shared a motivating message with a focus on the University’s mission and core values, inspiring the team as we embark on the new academic year.

A valuable session on ‘Quality Assurance’ was then delivered by faculty member Ms. Cecilia Moudabber, enriching the team’s commitment to excellence by aligning with the University’s motto of Truth, Freedom, and Service. The session emphasized the critical roles of Corporate Image, Ethical Responsibility, Communication, and Professional Credibility in upholding these core values and advancing our collective mission.

The group had the unique opportunity to learn about the Anjar Boarding School’s programs, activities, and projects through a presentation by Mrs. Nanor Akbasharian, followed by an engaging site visit to the school’s greenhouses and jam factories.

The retreat also embraced the rich culture of Anjar, with visits to the Anjar Museum showcasing the town’s heritage and history, the Art Gallery and its permanent collection, and the iconic Clock Tower. Staff enjoyed a delightful fellowship lunch prepared by the school kitchen, a guided walk through the scenic Anjar Nature Reserve and Spring, and concluded the day with afternoon coffee and refreshments at the Anjar Eco Park.

With its wonderful blend of reflection, learning, culture, and community, the staff retreat was a perfect way to recharge and strengthen the Haigazian family spirit as the administration looks forward to a successful academic year ahead.
