On the 30th of January, 4 Haigazian University students along with their mentors received their certificates as the first NewGen Peacebuilders in Lebanon and Rotary District 2452, during a celebratory event at the Smallville Hotel, Badaro.
Participating students from HU were, Ali ZeinEddine, Rama Mehanna, Anna Maria Kabakian, Joelle Wiss, Manoug Antaby, Lana Bakkar, Jeanne d’Arc Davoulbeuyukian.
HU Faculty member Dr. Christine Arzoumanian was among the volunteer mentors who over a period of 5 months trained the participants to design peace projects that addressed social divisions, gaps in mental health services, food insecurity, and gender inequity.
These young leaders join a growing global network equipped to build bridges for the rest of their lives.
