The libraries’ main objective is to maintain the personal convenience of users, protect library material, and preserve a clean and quiet atmosphere where all may benefit from the services provided. All users are therefore expected to comply with standards of behavior appropriate to the university environment.

The following are examples of unacceptable disruptive behavior:

• Using tobacco products
• Monopolizing library staff time
• Monopolizing computers
• Disrespecting other users’ privacy
• Eating and drinking
• Displacing furniture
• Loud talking and shouting
